Friday, March 24th from 3:30 to 4:30PM: “Undo Hours of Sitting” with Christi Idavoy
Few would argue that the demands placed on the body in today’s modern world are causing a wide range of physical disorders. In this workshop, Christi will look at a series of exercises and movements to combat them. Increasing thoracic mobility can relieve many of these common aches and pains. We often think in terms of creating lumbo-pelvic stability in order to ‘protect’ the lower back and strengthen the abdominal wall. We will look at how sequencing and cueing play an instrumental role in the outcome and effectiveness of a workout.
Saturday, March 25th from 7:30 to 8:45 AM: “Mind, Body, Spirit Trifecta” with Christi Idavoy
We will first break down very common movements like planks, lunges and sit-ups. The next section will purposefully tire the body to prepare it for a centered, mind-calming meditation. Informed by Pilates anatomical concepts and yogic philosophies of contemplation, this session will leave you with an increased sense of awareness and peace while giving you a challenging workout!
Saturday, March 25th from 12:30 to 1:45 PM: “How To Use Running To Manage Running Injuries” with Juan Nieto
